'Panama, a rough diamond to be polished'

For years online tourist guides have been the first search option for those who want to visit a place for the first time. And it is that these guides are a roadmap that provides valuable information on activities, events, restaurants, hotels, transport, and other topics of interest that are very useful when traveling.

However, not all of these guides offer complete information to the user. That is why My Guide Network recently arrived in Panama, an international digital guide that is present in 60 countries and more than 120 destinations.

According to the creator of My Guide Panama, Anna Okraska, they are just developing tourist content from the country to present it to their users worldwide. "Today we have more than 108 million in traffic and in the Panama guide there are more than 600 thousand people who already use this page," she says.

The international guide, which has 108 million visits, promotes the tourist sites of all participating countries and cities.

This digital page has 2.5 million users worldwide, which reflects a growth of 14.9%, says Okraska.

"When we arrived in Panama we realized that there is little information for a tourist who wants to visit the country."

But why Panama? "We sell the country abroad as a tourist attraction because we consider that this country is a rough diamond that needs to be polished," explains Alexander De Mondey, who is also a creative on the site.

'We have been developing the content of the page for two months from the point of origin (that is, from the inside out) because when a person goes to travel they always look for different options in their country of origin and not in the same place they will visit. ', adds De Mondey, who adds' the idea is to position it in Google so the traveler will find information on events and regions. For example; How to get to Bocas del Toro? How to get to Colón? What do you find if you go to San Blas? Who to book the tour with? Very valuable information that foreigners will need for each site, 'he says.

Okraska says that when they arrived at the isthmus they realized that there is little information for a tourist who wants to visit the country. "What we are trying to do is facilitate and promote this data and position Panama in the world, since Panama is a country that has all the hotel infrastructure and beaches to grow at a tourist level," underlines the creator of Polish origin.

The creatives emphasize that to make the page float they have required the support of different tourist offices in the different countries or regions where they are located. But 'in Panama we still do not have that open space, so we ourselves dedicate ourselves to researching, traveling and getting to know the tourist places that Panama offers, which, as the Venezuelan liberator, Simón Bolívar, once said, is' bridge of the world and heart of the Universe ”, says Okraska.
